Our special guest speaker, Angie Collins, will discuss fentanyl awareness and how to cope with the loss of loved ones affected by this crisis. We will provide free Narcan (Naloxone) and fentanyl testing strips. We encourage you to bring a photo and light a candle in memory of our loved ones lost too soon. Light Refreshments will be served.
August 9th - "Back 2 the Books Bash"
The lack of essential school supplies is a critical barrier to student success, leading to diminished self-esteem, decreased motivation, and disengagement from school. Students without the necessary resources often struggle to complete homework, participate in class discussions, and keep up with their peers, which can significantly impact their academic performance. Research reveals that "students who arrive in the classroom with basic school supplies perform 54% better than their peers without.
Join us in supporting our youth by purchasing a $5 raffle ticket for our "Back 2 the Books Bash," featuring one of the Kings of Comedy, DL Hughley. Our ambitious goal is to provide 100 book bags filled with supplies and small toiletries. To purchase tickets or to drop off school supplies, please text 336-483-4132 with the message "Back 2 the Books Bash." Thank you for your support!
